In the late nineties the two oldest trading houses of the Amsterdam agricultural futures, G. de Vries and W.F. Westermann Futures, merged. As De Vries & Westermann B.V. we operate as an intermediary in the agricultural futures market in Frankfurt (Eurex), Paris (Euronext), London (Euronext) and Chicago (CME).

The origins of our company lies in the "Golden Age". That was when there was trade in coffee, cocoa, copra and various spices. From the start of the agricultural futures market in Amsterdam, the focus lies on futures trading in potatoes and pork. We also offer the opportunity to trade virtually all global soft commodities. We are also active in the financial markets. We can offer all  orders for the financial markets run by BinckBank.

Our vision is to bring our marketed products as close as possoble to the producer, trade, industry and investors. With our experience and specialist knowledge we have become a leading player in the futures in potatoes, pork, wheat and corn.
